DIY: How to Make an Aeroponic System

Making an aeroponics system is not that hard. In fact, it's simple more than as you imagine. First of all decide on how big or small your net pot that you are going to use for the system. Next, find a bucket with a lid that is suitable for the size of your net pot and the amount of plants that you are going to put in it. Your bucket will serve you as the reservoir of your system. After you decide, create a hole on the lid of the bucket that is suited for the size of your net pot. You can create a hole as many as you want, just make sure that your lid is strong and wide enough to hold the net pots and the size of the plants as they grow. Next, put a coconut coir together with the plant inside your net pot. The coconut coir will serve as the soil for your plant. This is may also help the plant to stay upward as it grow. After doing this, proceed on filling the bucket with the right volume of water with the ph level of 5-6. Aeroponic plants can only absorbs nutrients if the ph of that nutrient solution is within a range the plants can use. If the pH is out of that range, it won't mater how good your nutrient solution is, the plants will still suffer from malnutrition.  I recommend using distilled water because it has the right amount of ph level for the roots of your aeroponic plant. Next, put a 1 teaspoon of a two-part hydroponic nutrient solution inside the bucket and stir it with the water. Thereafter, place the water pump in the middle of the bucket. Take the lid again and cover the bucket. Finally, test your system. Make sure that your system don't have a water leakage. For instance, limit the water pressure of the pump so that you don't get a messy wet aeroponic system.
